Day 1
We start in the morning drive from Muscat to Fanjah photo stop, Continue to Nizwa wher we visit the Nizwa Fort and the souq, famous for its Bedouin silver jewelries and beautifully crafted clay items. Continue to the beautiful Jebel Al Akhdar, meaning "the green mountain" most impressive mountain of Oman it is (2800 M above sea level). We drive up about 20-30 km. to the most impressive mountains, where you may enjoy the breathtaking view from the top. Then drive down to the old town of Birkat Al Mauz. We will stay overnight at Hotel .
Day2
Next morning after an enjoyable breakfast we will explore Bahla fort, the oldest and first Omani fort to be built in the Islamic style continue to visit Jbreen castle one of Oman’s most beautiful castle, famous for its wall and ceiling murals. Then we will travel to Al Hamra - we will visit Bait Al Safa – a traditional Omani house where you will see how Omanis used to live. Then visit the village of Misfah and then continue up to the peak of Jebel Shams mountains - Sun Mountain which is the highest peak of the Jebel Al Akhdar mountain range, soaring 3,000 meters above sea level. Spectacular scenery and remote villages – this is the ‘Grand Canyon’ of Oman. This is where we will stay for the night at Jabal shams Resort and enjoy the view around the camp fire.
Day 3
After an enjoyable breakfast if you feel like an short hike we will walk along the edge of Oman’s Grand Canyon. From this amazing vantage point Next morning after an enjoyable breakfast we will explore Bahla fort, the oldest and first Omani fort to be built in the Islamic style continue to visit Jbreen castle one of Oman’s most beautiful castle, famous for its wall and ceiling murals. Continue to the fascinating and hidden mountain village of Bilad Sayt. Then next stop will be Wadi Bani Awf (walk and swim through the wadi ). From here to Nakhal, then back to Muscat.
